Learning Observed
During iDevelop (Literacy) Elnaz has been working on using questions during reading and during writing she has been doing instructional writing.

Elnaz has been exploring questions who, how, when, where, why and what during reading. As a group we read the book First to the Top by David Hill (from the school library) and asked questions about the book and Edmund Hillary’s story.Elnaz demonstrated her thinking capability and curiosity by thinking of questions during reading activities.  Elnaz participated and contributed in many workshops on asking questions and showed her collaboration by sharing her ideas with other learners.

Elnaz has also been using instructional writing to explore how instructions are written and the details that are needed when writing instructions. She was able to help co-construct instructions for how to make a nutella sandwich with the group and then wrote instructions with a buddy about how to make a shape with blocks. Elnaz again showed her great collaboration skills while working with the group and with her buddy.
